Kissimmee Police Department’s St. Baldrick Fund Raiser
March 9 @ 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join the Kissimmee Police Department as they host this years’ St. Baldrick’s 3rd Annual Shave Fest.
While Kissimmee Police and Fire Rescuers are organizing the event, they aren’t the only ones shaving their heads this year. You can help raise funds to combat childhood cancer as well. Whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you’ll be a part of the excitement!
This year our team is dedicating our support to a member of the Kissimmee Police Department family, Leila.
More About Leila
When Leila was just 19 months old, her parents learned their beautiful daughter had cancer, stage four Neuroblastoma. Over the past year and a half, Leila has faced twelve rounds of radiation, six rounds of immunotherapy, five rounds of chemotherapy, two stem cell transplants and a number of surgeries. However, because of foundations like St. Baldrick’s, Leila recently began a clinical trial.
Now, at just three years old, Leila is doing much better, but her fight continues. Help us fight for Leila, and children like her by participating in this year’s Shave Fest.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. St. Baldrick’s Event Site https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/12809/2019
